Erabella is a melodic post hardcore band hailing from the Chicago suburb, Algonquin. The band was founded in 2017 by original members, Jovany Parra, Connor Rennels, Austin Reid, and Chris Hughes. In the later months of 2019, the band locked in Nathan DeLoriea as their permanent drummer. Erabella brings a high energy performance to their live shows which has taken the Chicago music scene by storm. Their first release was in May of 2018 with the music video for the first single, Somber. Less than a month later the Kingdoms EP was released in June of 2018 through the PR firm (now record label) Seek and Strike. This EP was all about finding the sound of the band with a blend of post hardcore and metalcore guitar riffs. Several tracks off of the EP were featured on different Spotify playlists such as Complete Chaos, AltPress Discover, The Grindstone, and Outerloop’s Unsigned Spotlight. This propelled Erabella to gain many new fans, reach 4k monthly Spotify listeners, and put Kingdoms at over 100k streams in a years time. Erabella has shared the stage with many major national acts including: Miss May I, Kublai Khan (2x), Currents, Upon a Burning Body, Stray From the Path (2x), Anti Flag, and Silent Planet. Flash forward to 2020, the band has their new EP, The Familiar Grey, that’s scheduled to drop on May 29th and a new single set to debut on 3.27.2020, Erabella has plans to seize the rest of the year with a different view on a nostalgic hardcore sound.
